For a moment, Isshin’s goofy mask slips. His eyes are ancient, tired, and knowing. “The power you need… you won’t find it by rushing. You’ll find it by surviving.”
He turns to Hitsugaya. “Where do we go first?” Urahara steps outside
“You lost to a substitute Shinigami,” Aizen says softly, not as an accusation—as a fact.
“Thanks, Dad. Very reassuring.”
