Bompani Bo 1200 User Manual | Popular ✭ |

Buried in the troubleshooting section: “Allow the oven to preheat for at least 15-20 minutes.” Real-world reviews (and small print in the manual) suggest the BO 1200’s oven can have hot spots. Baking requires rotating trays – the manual recommends middle rack position for most items.

Dimensions (approx. 60x60cm) are clearly laid out. Perfect for small kitchens, studios, or vacation homes. The manual stresses minimum clearance from walls (usually 10–15cm), confirming it’s not for tight built-in slots.

Depending on the version, the manual may show that you need to hold a lighter or match to the gas burner if the piezo igniter fails (which, per user reports, happens often). The manual includes a whole section on “lighting without electricity.” bompani bo 1200 user manual

Despite being gas-hob focused, the oven is electric (often fan-assisted). The manual provides separate temperature charts for baking, roasting, and grilling. This hybrid setup is a plus: gas for responsive stovetop control, electric for even oven heat. What the User Manual Reveals (The Mixed & The Ugly) 1. No Electronic Timers or Displays The manual makes it clear: this is an analog appliance. There’s no digital clock, no programmable oven timer, no temperature probe. You’ll need a separate kitchen timer. For some, that’s charming; for others, a dealbreaker.

Test the oven temperature with a separate thermometer for the first few uses. Keep the manual handy for the ignition troubleshooting section. And never, ever use steel wool on that gorgeous painted finish. Buried in the troubleshooting section: “Allow the oven

Subject: Bompani BO 1200 User Manual Review Product Type: Freestanding Retro Gas Cooker (with electric oven) Target User: Style-conscious home cooks, small apartment dwellers, vintage design enthusiasts Overall Verdict: 7/10 – Gorgeous but demanding The Bompani BO 1200 is a kitchen design icon. Straight from the user manual, it’s clear this appliance prioritizes aesthetics and compact Italian charm. However, reading the fine print reveals quirks that may frustrate modern users accustomed to digital convenience. What the User Manual Tells You (The Good) 1. Unmatched Retro Aesthetics The manual’s first few pages are essentially a design brochure. The BO 1200 features rounded edges, vintage-style knobs, and vibrant color options (cream, pastel blue, red). If your kitchen’s look is paramount, this stove is a centerpiece.

The manual’s diagrams show straightforward gas valves, thermocouples for flame failure safety, and basic wiring. No complex circuit boards. This means local technicians can service it easily, and parts are relatively standard. 60x60cm) are clearly laid out

The manual explicitly warns against abrasive cleaners on the painted exterior. The enameled interior is easier, but the gas hob’s pan supports and burner caps must be removed and hand-washed. No self-cleaning or pyrolytic mode. Spills left to bake on will be permanent.

This is great! Has certainly opened the world of plugins for me. However, the Voxengo plugins say demo on it, does this actually affect anything?

    1. Ilpo Karkkainen Avatar

      Great!

Sounds like you have accidentally downloaded a demo of a different plugin. It’s very easy to do that Voxengo’s website.

When you go to the plugin download page on Voxengo, the download links for the actual free plugin are at the top of the page. There are other download links in the middle of the page but if you look closely, you’ll notice those are actually for a demo of a different plugin.

A really promising open source synthisizer is Helm. If you haven’t tried it, I advice you do. If you can help with the development in any way, I advice you do that too.

Here’s a little track I made using a few instances of Helm the day I discovered it:
