Have you successfully connected an old DVD player to a new TV? Let me know in the comments which method worked for you!

But when you unbox that old DVD player and look at the back of your brand new 4K Smart TV, panic sets in.

This is where most people get stuck. Your DVD player has Yellow (Video), Red (Right Audio), White (Left Audio). Your new TV does not have those colors.

The picture quality may not be 4K HDR, but the commentaries, deleted scenes, and nostalgia are often better than anything streaming today.

Remember the days of Friday night trips to the video store? While streaming has taken over, millions of us still have shelves full of DVDs (and even VHS tapes) filled with movies, home videos, or TV show box sets that aren’t available on Netflix.

Don’t throw those discs away yet. Connecting an old DVD player to a modern Smart TV is absolutely possible. It just requires the right cable or a small, cheap adapter.
