An EX4 file is a compiled executable file used by MetaTrader 4 (MT4) , a popular trading platform. These files contain Expert Advisors (EAs) , custom indicators, or scripts written in MQL4 (MetaQuotes Language 4). Once compiled, the source code (.mq4) is converted into bytecode (.ex4) to protect intellectual property and improve execution speed.
