The story begins in 1990 in Chicago. A renowned magician, Iqbal Khan, runs a struggling theater called "The Great Indian Circus." A ruthless banker, Mr. Anderson, threatens to demolish the theater because Iqbal cannot repay a loan. Humiliated, Iqbal commits suicide in front of his young son, Sahir, leaving him with a dying wish: "Get the theater back."
The case is too big for Chicago PD. They call in India's finest: Jai Dixit (Abhishek Bachchan) and Ali Akbar (Uday Chopra). While Ali is comic relief, obsessed with a local gymnast, Jai is sharp.
