For those unfamiliar, the original Illustrious was a spark—a beautiful, chaotic collision of twin-stick reflexes and rogue-lite melancholy. You were a nameless Cartographer, mapping the dying thoughts of a sentient star. It was loved for its soul, but haunted by its friction: punishing stamina drains, opaque rune systems, and a difficulty curve that felt less like a slope and more like a cliff.
