He spent three days recording the wind passing through rusted elevator shafts and the subsonic hum of a decommissioned power generator. He mixed these into the film’s "silent" spacewalk scene. The result was a deep, unsettling drone that audiences felt in their chests rather than heard with their ears. Dayment’s magnum opus—and the film that finally brought him public attention—was the 2022 psychological horror film Silent Loop . The premise was a nightmare for a sound designer: a protagonist who goes deaf halfway through the movie.
