The number 2 in esoteric mathematics represents polarity. We see it everywhere: sun and moon, inhale and exhale, waking and dreaming. In Maithuna, "2" is the illusion of separation.
Most people live in the "2"—chasing the opposite, fighting the other, desiring what they lack. But the Rahasya (secret) of Verse 2 is that true union does not require the other person to change. It requires you to recognize that the "other" is simply the reflection of your own suppressed energy.
