Jack (Robert De Niro) has retired from the CIA but now runs a “family trustworthiness consultancy.” He’s developed a portable device called the —a watch-like monitor that tracks heart rate, skin conductivity, and micro-expressions. Everyone must wear one for “transparency during the celebration.”
“It’s just a renewal, honey,” Pam says.
They nod. Cut to Greg’s wristlet, still on the ground, blinking one final time: —because Greg actually loves the timeshare.

“Last time your dad ‘renewed’ something, it was his security clearance, and I ended up breastfeeding a panther cub,” Greg replies.
At the vow renewal dinner, Jack announces a final test: each person must confess one secret they’ve never told their spouse. Dina admits she once hid Jack’s false teeth as a prank. Pam confesses she still hates Jack’s potato salad. Then it’s Greg’s turn.
Greg Focker (Ben Stiller) is now a successful stay-at-home dad and part-time nursing instructor. He and Pam (Teri Polo) have two kids: a sarcastic 12-year-old daughter, Sophie, and a 9-year-old son, Henry, who eerily shares Jack’s suspicion of everyone. Jack (Robert De Niro) has retired from the
Nina reveals she’s actually been working for the CIA’s domestic morale division and the whole “fake death” was an approved psychological operation. Jack is furious he didn’t think of it first.
Final scene: Greg and Jack are on a dock, fishing in silence. Jinx the cyborg cat rubs against Greg’s leg.
Then Greg adds: “And I secretly bought a timeshare in Florida without telling Pam.” Cut to Greg’s wristlet, still on the ground,
The wristlet beeps green. Truth.
Greg’s wristlet immediately goes off when he says he’s “excited to be there.”
Enter (new character, played by someone like Aubrey Plaza)—Greg’s estranged, chaotic younger sister. She’s an artist who faked her own death five years ago to avoid student loans. Now she’s back, claiming she wants to “reconnect.” Jack is thrilled because Nina’s obvious lies make Greg look even guiltier by comparison.
