Known for its punishing difficulty, sprawling open-ended levels, and a minimalist HUD, the original two titles (2000’s Project I.G.I. and 2003’s I.G.I.-2: Covert Strike ) earned a cult following. Project IGI: Deviance represents a gamble on reviving a niche, "hardcore" tactical shooter brand in a market dominated by fast-paced hero shooters and extraction royales. Unlike the original games developed by Innerloop Studios, Deviance is being helmed by (known for Immortal: Unchained and Evil Dead: The Game ) and published by Art Games Studio S.A.
