Overview Tafsir al-Kashani , formally known as Ta'wilat al-Qur'an , is a seminal work of Sufi Qur’anic exegesis by the 10th-century (AH) mystic and philosopher ‘Abd al-Razzaq al-Kashani (d. 730 AH/1330 CE). A disciple of Ibn ‘Arabi, al-Kashani systematized the latter’s metaphysical teachings into a coherent hermeneutic.
