But for those of us who found the MP3s (or the mysterious vinyl pressing that appeared for 48 hours on Discogs), the “Un-Cut Version” isn’t a replacement. It’s a companion. So how did an album titled The Band appear in 2009
Some purists hate it. They say the edits were made for a reason. That the discipline of the original The Band is what makes it a top-five album of all time.
