An abandoned broadcast tower on a crumbling hill. The dead are clustered below, mindless, groaning. Inside, DAN and PHIL have been holed up for three days. Their supplies are gone. Phil’s leg is wrapped in a dirty bandage — a bite, barely hidden from Dan’s full knowledge.

: “And if the station is empty?”
(voice cracking): “Don’t.”
He clicks the transmitter off. The red light fades.
: “Would it have changed anything? You’d have carried me faster? Left me slower?” Dan moves closer
(looking at his leg): “This isn’t an if, Dan. This is a when.”
: “And you’re literally crying.”
