You step into the shoes (or perhaps just the perspective) of a visitor at a strange, almost forgotten museum of spirits—the “Reiyukan.” The titular Hiroka Toudou serves as your enigmatic guide, but as you soon discover, not everything (or everyone) in the museum is there for a simple tour.

Without spoiling mechanics: expect light puzzle solving, a lot of reading (it’s text/story-driven), and several “don’t look behind you” moments. It’s not a jump-scare fest. Instead, it builds dread slowly, relying on psychological unease. I went in mostly blind, and I’m glad I did

If you’ve been keeping an eye on the indie horror scene, you’ve probably seen the buzz around the latest release with the code — Toudou Hiroka no Reiyukan .

The sound design is the real MVP. Creaking floorboards, distant whispers, and a minimal but effective piano melody create a constant low-level tension. The pixel/retro art style (common in this genre) works in its favor — it leaves just enough to your imagination.
