The driver isn’t “bad” for its time, but it’s clearly legacy. If you already own an ML-2116 and can install it manually on a modern PC, it’s a usable, low-cost text printer. However, if you value plug-and-play, toner monitoring, or any mobile/network features, it’s better to recycle the printer and buy a cheap modern Brother or HP LaserJet.
